The Gifts Cancer Gave Me

Does that title read, "The Gifts Cancer Gave Me" and has she lost what mind she has left you may be asking?  No, I have become even more clear about the gifts of cancer. The year of 2017 was a year of intentional reflection for me; there were quite a few incidents that made me step back, pause and bite my tongue not to say "I should have" handled it this way.  With that said when talking with people, I try to encourage them not to let themselves be "shoulda" to death by themselves, friends or family.  The word "should" is very dis-empowering to me because it puts us back in a place of what I spoke about in an earlier blog of not feeling good enough.  When saying the word "should" it is guaranteeing the follow-up is going to be "but I didn't."  In the long-term when [...]

You Are Enough

Grab a cup of coffee and have your pen to jot a few notes.  Believing you are not good enough, what part of your life can you equate that too?  If you have never felt this, I would be a bit shocked. I struggled with this fear and feeling for many years.  I never felt I was good enough; I didn’t fit in.  From the young age of having a massive head of curly hair in the generation of no product, yes, NO product, women will understand this. The extreme of having it all cut off and being called a little boy for a majority of the time.  In all areas I did not fit the mold of a little girl, I rode motorcycles, I was a tomboy, and I was not the pretty tiny petite “ideal” of what a girl was to be. We have those things that happen [...]

Contentment Vs. Complacent

Contentment, I googled the definition: “Feeling or showing satisfaction with one's possessions, status, or situation, a contented smile: They lived a contented life.”  Contentment, being grateful for everything…That to me is core Oola.  When we become content at times, we have a tendency to become complacent, which is not always good…. You just don’t have to accept and settle into the thought process of “this is my life” “just the cards I was dealt” "I CAN’T change anything”…….. Lean in, that thought process is on YOU, not life, not God.  We have a choice every single day every minute to make a change. “Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong.” ~Mandy Hale There is pain in change, but there is also pain in staying the same.  You may have physical pain in change if you haven’t been to [...]

Be Your Best Self! What does that look like for you?

First, let me wish you a Happy New Year!  What you are reading is on my goal list for 2018, I am very excited to be putting a short blog out weekly talking to you about not just Young Living Essential Oil products and living an Oola Journey, which we will get into but to have you really stop and look at what “Your Best Self” looks like through your eyes.  The fun part is I’m going to share with you my story and strategies when although we are hurrying around our busy lives and it appears everyone has it all together, we are all struggling at times, but we are in this together. It is a new year and at times for many that bring complete clarity as to what they want for the year. What lessons did they learn from the past year? Who and what [...]
